Off Duty Firefighter Injured in Hit and Run Accident

Off-duty firefighter Luke Perisin of Dana point was the victim of a hit and run accident in Orange County earlier this week but is expected to survive. According to reports, the 38 year old Perison was carried about 50 feet from a crosswalk by the negligent driver. Police are asking the driver to turn himself in. He was driving a white Toyota Prius or Corolla and the front end of the vehicle is damaged as a result of the accident. The car has California license plates.

Perison suffered many injuries, including multiple fractures as well as injuries to his head. The accident occured after he was preparing to leave Laguna Beach’s Hospitality Night over on South Coast Highway. The driver was driving on the wrong side of the road when he hit Perisin. One eye witness actually followed the driver who was responsible for around a mile but then lost sight of his vehicle.
